Contemporary Crafts at the 2014 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

Peruvian pattern

This is the first year that Coco will be exhibiting his fiber art jewelry at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Neither Coco or I have ever been to Jazz Fest. More incredibly, we have never been to New Orleans. There are no words to describe how excited we are for this trip. We cannot wait to experience Louisiana culture, food, and southern hospitality. Not to mention the music and arts which make NOLA Jazz Fest world-famous. Hello Phish, Christina Aguilera, and Eric Clapton! I say that, but let’s be honest. Any free time we have will likely be spent in the puppet tent with our toddler.

Coco will be exhibiting his art jewelry the first weekend of the festival, April 25 – 27. He will be in the Contemporary Crafts area, a highly competitive art fair featuring 60 jury-selected artists showcasing one of a kind art across all mediums: glass, painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, wood, fiber, leather  and more. We took a peek at the lineup of exhibitors and Coco is honored to be a part of such an extraordinary group of artists. Every one of the artists is a master of their craft. Below is some of the amazing work you can expect to see in the Contemporary Crafts tents (weekend one).
