October is a special month for our family because we celebrate our oldest son’s birthday on the 29th.
His due date was Halloween. And, fittingly, he embraces the holiday with ghoulish enthusiasm every year! (His younger brother too.)
In early October, the cooler air and changing colors always remind us of the excitement and worry we felt as we anticipated becoming parents back in 2010.
We had just moved to the US from Peru, started our jewelry business Rumi Sumaq, and a baby was coming. It was exciting and terrifying at the same time!
